Welcome message

Dear All,

Hope you are all keeping well and safe. Once again, thank you for supporting your children at home with remote learning. We hope the timetables sent from the teachers have helped organise your day.

From next week, the school is offering more 'live sessions' every day. You would have seen lots more recorded clips appearing on seesaw. Please click here for information on the school's expectation on how to support your child's home learning.

The Government has directed that all nursery settings work towards being open for the parents that choose to send their child into school during the pandemic. We are therefore welcoming back some of our nursery children. For all those who choose to stay home, we will see you when the schools open again for all pupils.

Enjoy your weekend and stay safe.

Remote Learning

Following the very successful support of laptops given to all our Year 1 to Year 6 children, we were very excited to do the same for our Reception children very soon.  Watch out for all the exciting activities and learning coming your way!

As always, if you require technical help with the laptops please email: help@chesterfieldprimaryelt.org

Increasing mobile data:

The mobile data scheme temporarily increases data allowances for mobile phone users on certain networks. This is so that children and young people can access remote education if their face-to-face education is disrupted.

As a school we can now request mobile data increases for children and young people who meet all 3 of these criteria:

  • do not have fixed broadband at home
  • cannot afford additional data for their devices
  • are experiencing disruption to their face-to-face education

Children with access to a mobile phone on one of the following networks might be able to benefit:

  • EE
  • O2
  • Sky Mobile
  • SMARTY
  • Tesco Mobile
  • Three
  • Virgin Mobile
  • Vodafone

Other providers may join the scheme at a later stage.

To request extra mobile data, we will need to collect the following information:

  • the account holder’s name
  • their mobile number (a number beginning with ‘07’)
  • their mobile network
  • whether they pay monthly or pay as they go

Please contact the school office if this is something you are interested in.

Just Dance!

As a way of keeping active, year 5 have been dancing - even the teachers!

Last week, Magda joined the year 5 team as they danced to Old Town Road - who do you think deserves the Dance Off crown this week?
