Welcome message

Dear All,

Hope you are all keeping well and safe. Once again, thank you for supporting your children at home with remote learning.

You would have seen lots more recorded clips appearing on seesaw. Please click here for information on the school's expectation on how to support your child's home learning. It has been wonderful for staff and children to see each other on the daily live sessions.

We would again like to thank the whole community for their commitment to keeping our children and staff safe at this time. We would also like to thank all the staff for their continued hard work and flexible approach to teaching, which has ensured that children still make good progress in their learning.

Enjoy your weekend and stay safe.

Zoe and Kelly

Art Competition

Message from Clara:

Hi everyone I just want to start by saying a very big thank you to everyone who took part in the Chesterfield art competition. I am so impressed by the talent we have at Chesterfield school. We had over 150 entries which is absolutely fantastic.

It was very difficult to choose from such a huge range of wonderful art work. There is a certificate waiting for each participant. You are all amazing artists.

Now to the winners... Congratulations to Almila in Thames class and Zahra in Birch Class.

Have a look at their wonderful creations.

Balancing

Balancing can be a fun way to investigate mindfulness of the body.

  • Balance on one foot.
  • Pay attention to the muscles working to keep you balanced, the way it feels to tip to one side, and the natural reaction to put the other foot down when you feel like you may fall.
  • You could try doing different things such as raising a hand, switching legs, or taking a deep breath and noticing how you feel.  You’ll need to pay attention so you don’t fall.
  • Continue this for a few minutes.

Conversation Corner

Some questions to discuss in your families:

  • What would be a wonderful day out?
  • What is your favourite game to play?
  • If you are bored, what do you do about it?
  • What is something fun to do that doesn’t cost any money?
  • What would be a useful invention for the future?
