Welcome message

Dear All,

We hope you are all keeping well and safe.

We are very much looking forward to welcoming back all the children on Monday!

Thank you to everyone who has been logging onto the daily googlemeet sessions. It has been great to see the children re-establishing their relationships with their classmates and adults ready to reunite in person on Monday.

From 8 March, school attendance will be mandatory and our usual rules on attendance will apply.  We are looking forward to having all our children back at school and will support any pupils who have any anxiety. Senior staff will be on all of the gates daily and if you have any concerns please let them know.

For pupils who are self isolating or shielding, we will continue to provide online learning via see-saw.

Please click here for more information on returning to school.

Enjoy your weekend and stay safe.

Shout outs!

Please see all our 'shout outs' to children below, well done all of you!

Melissa, Sophie, Brodie, Lonisi, Kevin and James  created a wonderful piece of art. They based it on a book they have been reading in English 'Man on the Moon'.

Gergana (Rowan Class) for being an incredible support with home learning and a great role model for her sister Achelya (Tulip Class) during lockdown.

Leyla (Cranberry Class) for being an incredible support with home learning and a great role model for her sister Zeynep (Crocus Class) during lockdown.

Giovanni, Peighton, Keyan, Defne (Tulip Class) and Alexia (Crocus Class) for coming into school with big smiles on their faces throughout the lockdown and always trying their best with all of their learning.

Well done EVERYONE!

Attendance

Our school target is 96%

Attendance for all children is once again mandatory from Monday 8th March.

A good attendance gives children the best possible start in life. At Chesterfield we rake attendance and punctuality very seriously as we want to give all of our children the best possible start in life and there is a direct link between the amount of time children spend in school and the progress they make.

We recognise the role parents have to play in supporting and encouraging good attendance and punctuality. We will work with you to ensure that your children access excellent teaching and learning and attend school every day.
