Message from Headship Team

Dear Parents,

Welcome  back to the start of a new year in school.  We mean this more than ever before!

It is absolutely wonderful to have the children back. They are the soul and life of the school. Friendships have been rekindled and smiles and happy faces are around us again. The children have quickly and effectively taken on board our new routines for health and safety. Social distancing, washing hands and remaining in allocated bubbles is working very well.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all parents for the brilliant co-operation with the staggered times for the start and end of the school day. Thank you for working through the first few days with us as we tweaked standing and waiting positions to ensure social distancing with all parents and bubbles took place. We now feel we have the safest routine possible.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns please email the school office:

Attendance

---------------------

As you are aware the government has confirmed that all children must return to school.

Returning to school is vital for your child's education and their wellbeing.

The governement has produced a film for parents of children in primary school:

If your child is unable to attend school, please call the school office to explain their absence, thank you.

Every day counts!

Response to any symptoms

Coronavirus Covid-19

----------------

Government Covid-19 measures are still in force, the prevalence of the virus has decreased and the NHS test and trace system is up and running.

Anyone who displays Covid-19 symptoms can and should get a  tested. Tests can be booked online through the NHS testing and tracing for coronavirus website or ordered by telephone via NHS 119

We require parents and staff to engage with the NHS Test and Trace system and we will also contact our local health protection team for advice if we have a positive result.

Please understand that all staff members, parents and children will need to be ready to book a test if they are displaying symptoms.

Thank you for your co-operation.

Any spare clothes?

Our school will always be grateful for any spare clothes you may have to donate e.g. socks, underwear, school trousers etc.

These come in handy for when children may have accidents.

Thank you.

Well BeingV

Negative experiences and distressing life events, such as the current circumstances, can affect the mental health of children and their parents.

We will endeavour to ensure appropriate support is in place for children. In partnership with parents, we will work to identify those who might need some temporary or more long term additional support and put this in place.

If you feel you need a chat about any concerns, please talk to your child's class teacher/call/email the school.
