Thank you for continuing to keep your distance and wearing face masks at the school gates and in the playground.

Have a lovely weekend!

The children and staff had a great mathematical day last week. Every activity involved maths and the dressing up made it fun.

Kalvin, A.J and Klaidas designed some eye-catching adverts in English.

Attendance and punctuality

We recognise the role parents have to play in supporting and encouraging good attendance and punctuality. Thank you for your support.

Please remember that school gates now open 8:50 and close at 9:10. Children arriving after 9:10 will be marked as late in the register.

Please be on time every day. This helps your child form good life habits for the future. Occasionally lateness may be due to an event beyond your control. However, in general being late should be avoided for the following reasons:

The impact of lateness on your child’s learning:

5 minutes late every day 3 days lost each year

10 minutes late every day 6 days lost each year

15 minutes late every day 10 days lost each year

30 minutes late every day 19 days lost each year

Please note that holiday requests during term time will not be authorised.

Attendance Ambassadors

In order to promote a good pattern of attendance for each child, we have created Attendance ambassadors for each class.  Every class from Year 3 to Year 6 voted for their Attendance ambassadors.  We will be holding our first meetings next week, to discuss strategies and rewards the children will want to see in their school to support good attendance.

This wonderful idea was an inspiration from one of our Year 4 children -Antonakis, he will be joining our meetings to pass on his ideas and hopefully his enthusiasm. Well done Antonakis!

LGfL (London Grid for Learning) have launched a new parent/carer portal to help parents keep children safe, online and beyond.

ParentSafe https://www.lgfl.net/online-safety/default.aspx offers lots of support, guidance and top tips on a range of topics. Please take a look.

May we please remind all parents who drive their children to school not to stop in the middle of the road and let their children out of the car. This can be dangerous as other cars/bikes/bicycles may be trying to overtake while the car is stationary, and they may not see the child getting out the car.

Thank you for your understanding.
