Friday 23rd July 2021

Dear Parents,

We have reached the end of a very different academic year at Chesterfield. However, the children have continued to experience a broad and balanced curriculum through a combination of school and virtual learning. We would like to thank the whole school community, children, staff and parents, for all the hard work and support you have shown, especially through such a challenging and difficult time.

It is very unfortunate that our Year six required to isolate this last week at school. We wish all our Year six children all the best as they leave Chesterfield and move on to the next phase of their education. Good luck!

Finally, we would like to wish everyone a safe and fun summer break, and we look forward to seeing you all again in September.

All children (and staff) took part in 'Break the Rules' day on Monday 12th July. This was one of the ideas from our attendance ambassadors to boost attendance. Everyone had a choice of rules to break, at the cost of 50p each. The money raised is going towards class attendance rewards and attendance badges for our ambassadors. Thank you.

Message to all our children at Chesterfield...

We think you're very special,

And just wanted you to know,

This year has been different,

We've done so much together,

We've laughed and smiled and learned,

After such an exciting and amazing year,

Enjoy the summer break you’ve earned.

You have a lot to learn ahead,

But there's something you should know,

The thing that makes you wonderful.

And will shine through all you do,

Is just be yourself,

And be proud that you are you!
