What are you reading?
This half term the children are finding out which books the adults are reading at Chesterfield. The children are conducting interviews with adults around the school to find out more.
This interview was lead by Ausra Ramdharry-Panka, Member of School Parliament for Hazel Class and Sue Herencia, Teaching Assistant.
Ausra: What are you currently reading?
Sue: Lady Jane Grey by Sue Reid.
Ausra: What is it about?
Sue: It’s about the diary of a Tudor lady.
Ausra: Why did you choose that book?
Sue: I live in an old house so I wanted to find our how life was back when it was built.
Ausra: What is your favourite part of the book so far?
Sue: Finding out how life was for a 9-year-old girl in a rich family.
Ausra: Based on what you have read, would you recommend your book?
Sue: Yes I think I would.
Ausra: Why?
Sue: For those who are interested in history and getting a personal view of someone’s life, they would find it really interesting.
Ausra: What types of books do you normally like reading?
Sue: Historical stories and fantasy fiction. I also like family sagas and creative books.
Ausra: Are there any other good books you have read that you would recommend to others?
Sue: I would recommend reading the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer and The Chronicles of Narnia by C. S. Lewis. Art Attack by Neil Buchanan is also great!
