PSHE

Welcome to our PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic education) page! At Chesterfield, we believe that nurturing well-rounded individuals is just as important as academic success. Our PSHE curriculum is designed to equip our pupils with the essential knowledge, understanding, and skills to lead confident, healthy, and independent lives, both now and in the future.

PSHE is about helping children to understand themselves and others, manage their feelings, build positive relationships, and become responsible citizens. Through engaging and age-appropriate lessons, we explore a wide range of topics, including:

  • Health and Wellbeing: Promoting physical and mental health, healthy eating, and understanding emotions.
  • Relationships: Developing positive friendships, understanding family structures, and showing respect for others.
  • Living in the Wider World: Learning about rights and responsibilities, community, diversity, and basic financial literacy.
  • Safety: Understanding personal safety, online safety, and how to get help when needed.

Our aim is to empower our children to make informed choices, contribute positively to their community, and develop the resilience and self-awareness needed to thrive in an ever-changing world.
